Membership is open to any homeschool family or families planning to homeschool in the near future. Requirements of membership include:

 
  • Members must complete membership form
  • Members must read and agree with the goals and purpose of SPLASH
  • Members must read and sign the Release of Liability and Behavior Agreement
  • Members must pay annual dues in full
  • Members must volunteer their time at one event and host one field trip for the year

Goal and Purpose of SPLASH

SPLASH is a society of homeschool parents endeavoring to promote home education in the community. Our purpose is to lend support to homeschool families in their efforts to educate their children through field trips, special events, clubs, encouragement, and various other opportunities, regardless of race, culture, religion, lifestyles, or individual teaching methods.

Our goal is to provide an enriching experience to homeschool families and the homeschool community as a whole.

 

Release of Liability and Behavior Agreement
STANDARD BEHAVIOR FOR ALL SPLASH FIELD TRIPS, MEETINGS, EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES
 

Members must be responsible for their children's safety and behavior at all times. No destruction or vandalism of property. No disrespect or rowdy behavior. No vulgar or rude behavior, remarks or language. No dropping off children at ANY event without previously arranged supervision.  Members must act in accordance with the rules and regulations of the host facility at any SPLASH gathering, including but not limited to meetings, special events, classes and field trips. Members must agree to be respectful of other members, their individual belief systems and teaching methods. Members are solely responsible for educating of their own children. Members shall not make any public representation of SPLASH without prior approval from the Executive Committee.

Failure to abide by the above standards will result in termination of membership as stated in the Bylaws (published on our website at www.splashfl.org).
 

The undersigned parent or guardian of the above child/children understands that SPLASH is not responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result of injury to any individual while participating in an event or activity sponsored by SPLASH.  I hereby, voluntarily assume any and all risk, including injury to my person or the child for whom I signed as a parent or guardian, and/or loss of property which may be caused as a result of my or his/her presence at, or participation in, any activity.
 

By signing this document, I am agreeing to all of the above rules and regulations required for SPLASH membership and participation in SPLASH events. Further, I release SPLASH, its Board of Directors, its representatives and members from all liability for any injury to my family or dependents as a result of participating in any and all events and activities.
 

Membership fees are non-refundable.
